BYE-LAWS OF DHANBAD CRICKET ASSOCIATION

NAME & JURISDICTION

The Association shall be called “Dhanbad Cricket Association” a non profit making organization with it’s head quarter at Dhanbad. The jurisdiction of the Association shall extend over entire District of Dhanbad

OBJECTIVES OF ASSOCIATION

The objective of the Association shall be :-

  • To promote, encourage, organize and Control the game of cricket throughout the District of Dhanbad.
  • To arrange and regulate respective matches within the District and select teams for any tournament, championship, local or otherwise.
  • To foster Sportsmanship and co-operation among the members, officials and players.
  • To hold and maintain the laws of cricket and the rules and regulations of the Board of Control for Cricket in India through the Jharkhand State Cricket Association or State Cricket Association affiliated by B.C.C.I
  • To spread the game of cricket throughout the District by organizing coaching camps, tournaments, exhibition matches, seminars, publishing journal, souvenir, magazines and literature on cricket etc.
  • To promote, encourage, organize and develop the game of Cricket in school colleges within the District.
  • To maintain a panel of approved umpires and to do such acts may be deemed necessary for the purpose of promoting and conduction Cricket.
  • To acquire by lawful means, moveable and immovable properties on behalf of Association and to utilize the funds and properties of the Association for the promotion and fulfillment of all or any of the objectives of the Association as a non profit making organization.
  • To add, alter, maintain and enforce rules and regulations for the control of the game of cricket and governance of the same within the District of Dhanbad and to maintain discipline amongst its member, players, Umpires and officials.
  • To do all such acts and things as shall be deemed by the Association to be lawful, incidental or conductive for carrying out the objectives of the Association.
INTERPRETATIONS OF TERMS

In this rule unless the context otherwise requires :

  • “Association” shall mean “Dhanbad’ Cricket Association”.
  • “Constitution” shall mean and include the rules and regulations of Dhanbad Cricket Association.
  • “Committee” shall mean the committee of management/Managing committee, appointed by the General body of the members to manage the affairs of the Association.
  • “Officer Bearers” shall mean one President, one Senior Vice President, eight Vice President one General Secretary, two Joint secretaries and one Treasurer. All the posts of the Office bearer shall be Honorary.
  • “Financial year” shall mean the period from 1st April in year to the 31st March of the following year.
  • “Season” shall mean the playing session commencing on 1st September in a year and ending normally on the 15Ih June of the following year.
  • “Player(s)” means a cricketer registered with the Association
  • “Individual Member” shall mean life member and Honorary member.
  • “Affiliated Member” shall mean clubs, schools and other educational institutions affiliated to the Association.
  • “DCA” shall mean Dhanbad Cricket Association.
  • “AGM” shall mean Annual General meeting
  • “SGM” shall mean Special General meeting
  • “JSCA” shall mean Jharkhand State Cricket Association.
  • “Member” shall mean individual members and affiliated members.
COMPOSITION

The Association shall consist of the following categories of members :

  • Patron in Chief
    Any eminent personality approved by the Managing Committee
  • Patron
    Reputed personality to whom the committee of Management, considers beneficial for the progress of the cricket of District can be nominated as Patron(s)
  • Hon´ary member
    Well known personalities in the District of Dhanbad or outside who have rendered distinctive services to the cause of the sports in general and cricket in particular, may be admitted as honorary member of the Association. The admission of such members shall be made by the Committee of Management. They shall have no right to vote in any meeting of the Association.
  • Life member
    Persons ordinarily residing in the District of Dhanbad or having permanent residence in the district of Dhanbad and above the age of 21 years can become life member. Life members of one year standing shall have voting right in the annual general meeting/S.G.M./Election. An identity card will be issued to each and every life member by the Association and it shall be mandatory to produce the identity card for exercising the right to vote.
  • Club
    Individual clubs in the District of Dhanbad playing the game of cricket, which is duly, enrolled as affiliated clubs as per clause 5.
  • College, School and other Educational Institution
    Colleges, Schools and other educational institutions playing the game of cricket in the District of Dhanbad enrolled as members as per clause 5
  • Board of Advisor
    Member of the above will be nominated by Managing Committee they will be advising the managing committee for smooth conduct and functioning of the Association as and when required. There shall be five members including Chairman. Three Advisors shall form the Coram of the meeting to trustee and the decision of majority shall be deem to be the decision of all. In case of (i) death (ii) Incapacity to act (iii) in any extra-ordination condition a fresh trustee shall be co-opted by the committee of the management.
  • Institutional member
    Company’s, banks, central and state government offices and other commercial organization and institutions in the District of Dhanbad interested in promoting the game of Cricket subject to fulfillment of the condition laid down in clause 5
  • “Affiliated Member” shall mean clubs, schools and other educational institutions affiliated to the Association.
